One of these dimensions is social factors that encompass a widespread range. This article is a part of a grounded theory study that examines the role of decline in Intra-Family Communications affecting relapse. The participants of this study were selected among addicted individuals who had a history of addiction relapse three times or more in the past three months or after quitting, and who had been discharged or were being discharged from addiction treatment centers in Gorgan City through purposive and theoretical sampling. The data collection was continued until the theoretical saturation stage through semi-structured in-depth interviews. For this purpose, 21 subjects were interviewed. The analysis and coding started and continued concurrently with data collection. According to the study findings, the decline in intra-family communications was selected as the central phenomenon. Moreover, four components of the decline and downfall of social capital within the network, constant fear of blame, social and family limbo, and the absence of a communication network are pondered as background conditions. The three components of the intolerable events of the past, the family's despair and sense of obscurity, and the addiction scandal have been considered as part of the causal conditions. Four components of the assumed intra-network culprit, relapse history, decline in social trust, and assumed social convict have been deemed as intervening factors. Successively, palliative consumption, network cohesion, avoidance of social relations, consuming for committing suicide, distancing from family and society, deciding to commit suicide, and intending to commit suicide were elicited as strategies resulting from action and interaction. Finally, the decline in family dignity, homelessness and abandonment, family disintegration, divorce and separation, sleeping rough, social shame, death resulting from committing suicide, and death arising from drug overdose were discovered and named as consequences. As a result, to comprehend and explain the problem and also to intervene to reduce the relapse rate, considering the phenomenon of decline in intra-family communications in the context and deemed conditions is crucial, and neglecting this importance will add to the challenges and problems of relapse and its consequences. عود اعتیاد از ابعاد متعددی قابل مطالعه است که هر یک در جای خود می‌تواند مهم باشد، یکی از این ابعاد، عوامل اجتماعی است که خود طیف گسترده‎ای را شامل می‌شود. این مقاله بخشی از یک مطالعه گرندد تئوری است که به بررسی نقش افول ارتباطات درون‌خانوادگی در عود پرداخته، ‌‌جامعه مشارکت‌کننده این پژوهش از میان افرادی که سه ماه و بیشتر از ترک‌شان گذشته، دارای سابقه عود سه‌بار و بیشتر بوده و از مراکز ترک اعتیاد شهر گرگان ترخیص شده، یا در حال ترخیص بودند، به صورت نمونه‌گیری هدفمند و نظری انتخاب و از طریق مصاحبه عمیق نیمه‌ساختار‌یافته، گردآوری داده‌ها تا مرحله اشباع نظری ادامه پیدا کرد، برای این هدف تا 21 نفر مصاحبه‌ها ادامه یافت. تجزیه و تحلیل و کدگذاری، همزمان با گردآوری داده‌ها شروع و ادامه پیدا کرد. طبق یافته‌های تحقیق، افول ارتباطات درون‌خانوادگی به عنوان پدیده نهایی انتخاب شد، همچنین چهار مؤلفه‌: افول و سقوط سرمایه اجتماعی درون شبکه‌ای، هراس مستمر از سرزنش، برزخ اجتماعی و خانوادگی‌، ‌فقدان شبکه ارتباطی به عنوان شرایط زمینه‌ای، سه مؤلفه‌ سایه سنگین گذشته، ‌ابهام و نا‌امیدی خانواده و داغ اعتیاد جزء شرایط علی و چهار مؤلفه‌ متهم پنداری درون شبکه‌ای، ‌سابقه عود، سقوط اعتماد اجتماعی و مجرم پنداری اجتماعی به عنوان عوامل مداخله‌گر بدست آمد، در ادامه مصرف تسکینی، ‌‌چسبندگی شبکه، اجتناب از روابط اجتماعی مصرف خلاصی‌، ‌هجرت اجباری از خانواده و جامعه، تصمیم به خودکشی و اقدام به خودکشی جزء راهبردهای ناشی از عمل و تعامل استخراج شد، ‌در نهایت سقوط منزلت خانوادگی، ‌‌بی‌خانمانی و رهاشدگی، ‌‌فروپاشی خانواده، ‌طلاق و جدایی، ‌کارتن‌خوابی، ‌‌شرم اجتماعی، ‌‌‌مرگ ناشی از خودکشی و مرگ ناشی از مصرف بیش‌ازحد به عنوان پیامد‌ها کشف و نام‌گذاری شد. نتیجه این‌که برای شناخت و تبیین مسئله، ‌‌همچنین مداخله در جهت کاهش میزان عود توجه به پدیدۀ افول ارتباطات درون‌خانوادگی در بستر و شرایط مطرح شده ضروری است و غفلت از این مهم، ‌بر چالش‌ها و مشکلات عود و پیامدهای ناشی از آن خواهد افزود.
