Presenting the news management model of big fires in the country (case study: Plasko incident)

Abstract
This study aims to develop a model for managing news about large fires in the country. The research method is qualitative and based on a thematic analysis technique. The statistical population included news editors of radio and television during the crisis, spokespersons and agents involved in the management and operations of the Tehran Fire Department, the secretary of the government information council of that time, and communication specialists and media editors during that crisis. The sample was collected using purposeful sampling, achieving theoretical saturation after interviewing 15 individuals. The findings of the research show that having a specific strategy in dealing with crisis, dealing with rumors, managing emotions and feelings, respecting the accuracy and accuracy of news, and using the capabilities of social networks are the most effective components of news management in big fires at the beginning of the crisis. Also, based on the obtained results, trying to challenge the authorities, creativity, and innovation in publishing reports in the national media, using professional and trained journalists, gatekeeping and news monitoring, emphasizing the speed of news release, and using experts' opinions, and clear and accurate information and avoiding concealment, etc. should be taken into consideration as components of news management in big fires in the rescue phase. In addition, the findings of the research show that creating educational documentaries, preparing particular and specialized reports, turning issues into popular demands, receiving criticisms and suggestions, improving society's media literacy, challenging officials and demanding from In times of crisis, informing people about their needs through the media, strengthening public relations, they are considered as the most crucial components of news management in big fires in the post-crisis phase.
