Abstract
Abstract
Palestine is one of the most critical issues in the Middle East and the world, which has involved many countries. The Islamic Republic of Iran cannot evade the Palestinian issue, which has been a part of its reality for over nine decades, with the awareness of Palestine deeply ingrained in society's collective memory. In this study, we aim to explore the Iranian society's perspective on the Palestinian issue through the lens of schemas, examining the viewpoints of Iranian activists in Palestine. The fundamental method of this study is thematic analysis, and the data was collected through interviews with prominent activists in Palestine. Some of the key findings include the Palestinian-Islamic identity, the need for armed resistance and legal/diplomatic actions against Israel, the shared identity between Iran and Palestine, Iran's military and political support for Palestine, and the symbol of Palestinian resistance reflected in the mindset of Iranians.
