Considering the importance of the family institution, marriage, as a matter that provides the foundations for the formation of this institution, has an equal importance to it. Therefore, the health of the family in the first place depends on the health of the marriage, the criteria and patterns governing the decision-making process are important. The current research is trying to find the criteria by which student teachers will or will shape their lives. The research method is quantitative, cross-sectional and survey according to the topic and the method of doing it, and in terms of the type of research, correlation is considered. The statistical population is all the students and teachers of Farhangian University of Fatemeh Zahra campus, and a sample of 240 people was selected using stratified random sampling. The method of data collection is based on the researcher's questionnaire, which has been analyzed using SPSS software. The theoretical foundations in this article are related to theories such as Angelis' personal relationships, Sternberg's love triangle, Waller's proximity, Winch's complementary needs, Heider's balance and Homans' social exchange. The results of the research show that there is a significant difference between the socio-cultural criteria, education, and appearance criteria among the urban and rural respondents, as well as the first and fourth year; This means that paying attention to these criteria among students who grew up in urban environments is more important than rural student teachers. however, the criterion of religion is important for all the examined people and does not show any difference.
