The discussion of digital parenting in the media parenting literature is in its infancy. The study of lived experiences can play an effective role in the knowledge and development of literature in this field. This study aims to identify the most common ways of using different types of screens according to mothers’ lived experiences and show how they reflect on children and their use of digital devices in media life. Meanwhile, few studies have investigated digital nursing through lived experience. This qualitative phenomenological research investigated the lived experiences of 10 participating mothers in order to discover and describe digital nannying. In order to collect data, the research used a semi-structured interview with a purposeful sampling method. The analysis process was carried out in three macro levels. In the third level of analysis, the result of equalizing intellectual horizons was the number of 5 horizons related to digital nursing, four horizons related to using different types of screens, and 11 horizons related to strategies and solutions. In the second level, coherent descriptions of narratives were formed by separating digital nursing, media tools, strategies, and solutions, and in the first level and at the highest abstract level or analysis, the structural integration of coherent descriptions was done. Based on the findings of this research, the presence and prevalence of using media tools in child care has caused the emergence of the “digital nanny” culture. This requires redefining parent-child social relationships and the social obligations of parents towards children. The final findings from mothers’ lived experience include four significant uses of media by mothers for their children, including screens as background, babysitters, digital pacifiers, and childcare tools.
